All About ROCK SUGAR - The Awesome, Unique Band That Puts The Pop In Rock

Maybe you've heard or rock sugar - or in some parts of the country it's sometimes called rock candy . Your mom may have helped you make some as a child, by making a glass of sugar water with a string in it- resulting in crystalized sugar. Well, this ain't your momma's rock sugar!

Rock Sugaris an awesome 80's style band, which takes the powerful sound and lyrics of metal and "hair band" music, and blends it with the melodies and lyrics of 80's pop. Their colorful backstory claims 'In 1989, Hollywood heavy metal band Rock Sugar was stranded on a deserted island. For the last 20 years, the only music they had to listen to was the 80's pop CD collection of a 13 year old girl. And now... Rock Sugar has come home.'

The band members are as varied and eclectic as their music.

• Besides his previous background experience as lead singer in the band Loud and Clear, as well as a solo artist, the lead singer, Jess Harnell, also has done extensive voice work for television and cartoons - including the voice of Wacko from the Warner Brother's cartoon, Animaniacs!

• Jess' close friend is lead guitar and bass player Chuck Duran. Chuck is also a vocalist, and owns his own voice-over production company, Demos That Rock.

• The drummer, Alex Track, also plays keyboard and sings background. Alex trained for two years in Austria, has won a Grammy, and also owns his own studio, World Digital Studios, which also specializes in voice overs, commercials, and voice acting.

• The last member who joined the band is the bass player and background vocalist who goes by the name 'Johnny Five.' This lead singer of the band Still Standing joined after the group's first album, Reimaginator, was released.
